At the foot of Belleville Park in northern Paris, “La Perm’”, a volunteer legal office, has become a second home for local teenagers, a refuge from the rain and the police. In the swirl of this miniature agora, words are set free and dreams unfold. They paint a portrait of a youth wondering what its place is in France, a country that can’t help but look at it sideways.
