Esther Haddad, 25, lives in Belleville with her Tunisian Jewish family, half-modern, half-traditional, very worried that she’s still single and career-less. Her antidote to depression is Sélim Haddad, her Muslim neighbor, namesake and best friend, who has always lived his homosexuality unbeknownst to his family, while Esther wonders if she isn’t asexual… Until, at the beginning of the summer, she meets Eli, lesbian and Jew, and everything becomes clear: she’s in love, and wants to shout it from the rooftops, senza vergogna! But the irruption of love and Esther’s coming-out threaten to cause a rift, both with her family and with Sélim, with whom she plans to finally leave the neighborhood and head for Marseille in September!
